In a year that started with my beautiful son being In a year that started with my beautiful son being born, I chose to reduce my availability to spend time learning how to be his mum. On paper, this may look like my least successful business year yet, but actually the opposite is true.

Some days felt like the steepest hill to climb. Balancing tiredness, my time and giving my best to all my roles was hard. Some weddings early on in the year, my baby came with me, feeding in the van in-between set ups. I spent nap times cramming in planning, and quote writing. Consultation availability was planned around wake windows and bed times. I've never felt so busy whilst also feeling my least productive.

But really, this year taught me so much. I did so much more than survive the hard days (although sometimes that's all I did!) I grew, personally and professionally and have all sorts of plans for what is to come.

And most importantly, the weddings I got to be a part of felt extra special. I was carrying extra love into them. Extra care. Extra appreciation that this business I have built has allowed me to spend so much time with my boy, whilst also having such purpose and motivation outside of being a mum.

So, as we wave goodbye to 2025, I'd like to say thank you to all couples and clients of Palm & Peony Flowers this year. Without even realising you helped my find my feet as a business-owning mum, and I feel that the best is yet to come...

Happy Saturday! I've had a few new followers re Happy Saturday!

I've had a few new followers recently so thought I'd show my face and reintroduce myself if you're new here 👋

🌸 I'm Caroline, owner & florist here at Palm & Peony Flowers. I'm based in Nuneaton, Warwickshire & cover all the Midlands areas, although I have travelled as far as Aberdeen!

🌸 At the beginning of the year I had my little boy, so I've intentionally had a quieter year, which in some ways has been lovely but I'm so excited to really get my teeth stuck into next year! (He was actually about the size of a 🍓 in this photo - @mollygeorgiaweddings was one of the first to know!)

🌸 I love hearing about your plans for your big day and how I can create florals to bring your ideas to life. I'm booking weddings in 2026 & 2027, so get in touch via the link in my bio to tell me all about your wedding!

Lisa & Adam added disco balls & black touches to a colour palette of neutrals & burgundy 🪩

I’m obsessed with this mirror that was at the entrance to the ceremony for their guests to check themselves out in! It paired so perfectly with the white Rose & Gypsophila clouds 🤍

Also a great example of moving your long & low arrangement to your top table after the ceremony!

Remember to save this post into your wedding inspo folder 😍
